BOMBS DROPPED! Regis Prograis On the Wind Up At Press Conference
Regis Prograis might have just caused a huge upset in the Catterall camp ahead of their upcoming fight on Saturday.
In the final press conference before the bout in Manchester, Prograis played a voice note to the assembled press in which Sam Jones, Catterall’s manager said that Prograis would “flatten” Jack Catterall.
Obviously the game plan by Prograis was to embarrass Jones and get under the skin of Catterall, and at least one part of it worked.
At first Jones denied Prograis’ claim, then when faced with the evidence, all he could do was threaten Regis Prograis with retaliatory messages. You could feel Jones’ embarrassment as he tried to back pedal and explain the situation away.
You can’t hide the evidence though, it was absolutely crystal clear, and Jones couldn’t deny any longer.
Whether or not it will get under Catterall’s skin is another matter. I doubt it, but it’ll certainly make Sam Jones feel as awkward as a butcher in a vegan meeting when he has to meet with his client.
He might have just lost his most high profile boxer…
