Tony Bellew: “Jack Catterall is the Most Underrated Puncher in the Division”

Tony Bellew has warned Regis Prograis that he’s facing a dangerous in Jack Catterall on Saturday, labelling him the “most underrated puncher in the division”.

Whilst Prograis has been in with some of the best in the world, he’s an older, slower version of what he was. At 35 now, his best days are behind him but Bellew still believes he can put up a fight, and thinks we’re in for a real treat on Saturday night. The bookies have Catterall as the huge favourite at 2/9, but Bellew isn’t having that at all.

Speaking to DAZN, Bellew said…

Regis Prograis is quick, skilful and game”. He also said that he thinks Catterall and Prograis is a “really good fight”. He continued, “in no way, shape or form is Jack Catterall a MASSIVE favourite going into this fight. Regis Prograis is as live as they come, and he’s a problem. He has skills, tonnes of ability and can punch.

I’m not saying Jack Catterall’s going to lose, but believe you me, this is going to be a lot closer fight than people think. If Jack Catterall goes in and blows Regis Prograis away, it would be the biggest statement.”

Should Catterall do the business on Saturday, expect Eddie Hearn to get busy arranging for him to fight the winner of Paro and Hitchins.
